I know this is not the normal avain type photo but it is where they all start . These Least Tern eggs were photographed at Nickerson Beach in NY last week.

    Canon 1dx and Canon 500 f4 ii +1.4xiii. ISO 1000, F5.6, SS 1/4000.

Processed with DPP 4.6 and PS.

Well this is something completely different, and I love it. The POV is spot on, with the BG merging with the FG, the eggs, and of course the plant, immediately draws the eye. Very pleasing colours throughout, no nits from me. Nice one Isaac.

    I love, love, love this!
Those eggs must move fast if you needed a SS of 1/4000

I love the image as well. Very nice blended BG with the sand, eggs and the leaves. I also love Gail's humor there:).

Ha! I knew someone would bring that up. I was actually photographing the parents flying around and chasing the beach walkers every time the passed by. But then I noticed this nest and took one frame and went back to the flight action. Funny enough I like this frame more than the hundred or so of them buzzing people.

Isaac, I really like this, the shallow DOF works well with the composition. The simplicity of this is its strength and the greenery adds scale and really makes the shot with a splash of green.

This image works really well for me, Isaac. The shallow DOF and the composition with the greens on the right hand side are just very special. :D

Hi Isaac, I like this too - simple, effective and well thought out. Overall well exposed, and I like the splash of green foliage. Maybe just a bit off the bottom.

I really like this image, lovely colours and very uncomplicated, I reckon it would make a nice print.
