Lovely angel pose and fanned tail and a good BG.
Love the fish and POV.
Whites look great.
I am seeing a bit of a magenta cast in the BG (but perhaps there were alders or purplish flowers ?)

Thanks for that Gail. It is flowering plants in the BG(don't know what type), and nettles below the bird.

Hi Will, you certainly captured a dramatic incoming pose here, and love the single curled tail feather. Excellent exposure on the whites showing good feather detail on the under wings, and his catch a bonus. I'm wondering why you didn't go for the traditional landscape comp to have more space on either side of the wings.

I really like this one Will. The Angel wing pose, subtle bg, spread tail feathers and the bait fish all working together in this one.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Hi Stu, I really don't know, I had the room to do that, maybe have another look at it now

Hi Will. These terns display such gorgeous wing positions, and you captured one here. Lovely whites, background, and headless fish. I can see Stu's point, but I think your comp reinforces the idea that the bird was dropping down to a nest.

Thanks Bill, your thoughts on the crop, are what would probably be in my head, whilst cropping.

I like this crop due to Bill's reason. I love the wing position and the curled tail wing. The setting and fish are also very nice. Interesting about the fish's head. TFS
