Redshanks seemed considerably quieter this summer in Iceland, however they continue to exist everywhere. I like the opportunity to "trade up" one redshank image to another, and i loved the post and green background...

Hi Ann, I like the seemingly 'balancing' act of the Redshank, and he pops so well against that smooth BG. The Redshank is nice and sharp, and although not the best perch, the yellow lichen adds to it, to make it work.
Hi Ann. Handsome image of this Redshank, with a nice pose against a smooth background. Good and sharp, although the post may be a tiny bit crunchy. I rather like the post. And Congratulations! to you, for TWO Audubon Top 100's. Well done!
This is awesome Ann! I really like the pose and the details in this one and the BG looks fantastic. Exposure looks right on to me. I actually love the weathered post with the lichens. In my are, this would be a killer perch for sure! Well done

Hi Ann. Like this image a lot, and as Stu mentioned, it looks as if the bird is catching his balance. Like the lean of the perch and lichen. Also Congratulations! on having TWO Audubon top 100 images.
Hi Ann,
I like this!
Great light and great eye. The redshanks often have the eye scrunched up into an oval slit so it is nice to see a wide open eye.
Great perch with the lichens but agree with Bill that the perch looks oversharpened.
My favorite part of this image is the overriding toe. Me thinks this guy needs a podiatrist and custom insoles!
Huge congrats on your 2 images in the Audubon Top 100. Lots of BPN'ers made the list!
