This Robber Fly (Laphria sp.) is a striking Bumblebee mimic. Canon 1DX II, 100mm macro. 1/125, f/16, ISO 400, KX-800 macro twin lite (diffused) as main light, hand held. Cropped for comp and NR on the background.

Nice work, it shows off the insect well. Lovely composition and detail on the Robber Fly. Thank you for sharing, Steve.

It is a bumblebee mimic pretty neat indeed. Like the comp and detail and the green of the leaf.

A fine shot Steve, I really like the hairy face, again it seems that light set up works very well indeed.
