    Default Amethyst Sunbird - Female

I've been crazy busy at work, and its interfering with my photography. I captured this busy lady feeding off the aloes one early morning when they arrived in the area back in May. I quite liked the loose petal falling off the main plant, probably ripped away by the Sunbird.

Terrific shot of sunbird and aloe, and the falling petal really does add to it. Can't let work get in the way of the important stuff.

Agree the falling petal adds a lot. I like the colors and a very cool plant. Great looking bill on the bird too. I like the crop choice as well. TFS

Stu - you just gotta retire bud simple as that! I looked and though that's SHARP and wow that shutter speed did the trick. I like the composition and the falling petal, the greens in the bird become gradually more apparent as I look, it's as if the background is complementing the bird.

Great looking frame Stu. Glad to see you posting again. Love the crop and those flowers add so much nice colour. Nice detail and pose on the bird, and the falling petal takes it up a notch.

Talk about sharp! The petal is not only a nice touch as an interest but it helps balance the top and bottom
