Black Skimmer

Heres a black skimmer taken after pretty soon after sunrise. Slight crop from the right and some canvas added on the left.

Camera: Nikon D500
Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
Specs: 1/2000 ISO 1100 f/5.6

Hi Alex, just love the sweet light here, and overall well exposed. I like the show of the full wingspread, and the skimmer pops nicely against the distant BG. I wish the beak was more separated from the far wing.

Sweet! Good job balancing out the composition with the processing you did. I agree with Stu about the bill/wing separation, but the rest of the pose is top notch. Great background too.

This is excellent. Love the full wingspread, the light and the BG.
My only wish would be that the beak did not intersect with the wing but all else is excellent,
