Brilliant wings down flight capture, William. I know you must still be pretty excited about this image. Love the water droplets on its back and tail feathers, detail with a bit of motion blur at ends of wings, and that perfect rough ocean in the BG. Extremely well done.

Ooh, this is beautiful!! Almost perfect downstroke, and I love the vibrant colours. The texture on the near leg/foot is pretty neat. Did you need to lighten the far foot? Super nice image here.

The wing position is quite excellent. And so is the image. And the light and processing is superb, and the image is sharp. Bummer on the slightly turned away head ... How big a crop? Did you have any more room behind the bird?

    With love, artie

Nice work! Tough to catch these bullets. Sharp on the head, with great downstroke.

Thanks everyone, for the comments. Dan I did think about the far foot, had a go at it, but decided to leave as is. Artie, I cropped for comp, as I was so close, it never needed much. Yes I had a little more canvas, not much, at the rear of the bird. I'll have another go, at it, and see what it looks like with more space behind. And, yes I would have preferred a better HA.

Beauty Will. Agree with all that has been said and would loosen the crop a tiny bit. As I have only seen Puffins once I would love to see them again, let alone get a cracking shot like this.

It is a beautiful image Will. I like the wings down and the bg. Sharp, detailed, high IQ, perfect exposure - all working together here.

Very very nice William. The pose and the details look fantastic and I like the background also. A slight head turn to the left would of made this an exceptional image but I guess you'll just have to settle for a great image. These guys are way up high on my list of birds to shoot in flight .Well done
