Wood Stork going home for the evening
Photographed March while on Jim Neiger's and James Shadle's BAA approved "Best of Florida" workshop.
Wood Stork flying home, unfortunate his body is slightly away, evening light was going away quickly and lost a lot of shadow detail ... but the Wood Stork did glance back for the HAP, and I like the pink evening sky. I sure wish for more ISO!!
Thank you for looking, and your suggestions are appreciated.
I like the sky's colors too, and I like the details on the near wing. Some of the straight lines are jagged (lower bill and neck area, the white lines along secondary feathers, and around the legs) not sure what would have caused that...possible oversharpening?
Great lighting and exposure control. I agree with Daniel regarding the jagged edges and it would have been great if the bird would have flown toward you.
Good self-critique, a nice sharp eye, and a lovely sky.
