    D500, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 1250, 1/2500s @ f/7.1 manual. Gitzo and Mongoose.

    Another beauty from our rare visitor, Bill. Again nice handling of the harsh sun that afternoon. Like the Cedar perch as well.

    Sharp with a perfect head angle. Compositionally it bugs me but ... Perhaps pointing the lens well left and having the bird looking out the "wrong" way in the frame might be the answer, depending on the shape of the cedar out of frame left ...

    On a second look there is just too much negative space at the top. A simple pano crop might work.

    Thanks Geoffrey and Artie. Here's a 9:16 pano crop that addresses the negative space at the top. But it seems to accentuate the negative space to the right. This is already cropped to 57% of full width, and I didn't want to crop the width any further.

    I like the pano, and don't think the negative space to the RT is too much, but just fine for this crop.
