    Default White-cheeked Honeyeater on banksia flower

    Handheld, early morning and sunny. Natural heathland habitat.
    Cropped to portrait to include the golden banksia flower - sorry I know its big!.
    But I wanted to include it to showcase the flower with its nectar foodsource.
    Capture NX-D then into photoshop for cropping and slight adjustments.
    Lennox Head, New South Wales, Australia
    Flower = Wallum banksia (Banksia aemula)
    Nikon D500, Nikon 300mm f/4 AF-S VR, Nikon 1.4x tele lll.
    ISO 320, f/8, 1/1000, +1 . Manual with auto ISO.

    Neat bird and a pleasing image design. And sharp. And a nice look-back head angle. From where I sit, the dark tones on the bird might go a bit lighter.
