Hi John, lovely bird. I love Ibis, I had never seen one until moving to Florida 15 years ago. Very nice pose apparently scratching while standing on one leg. To my eyes on my display the image appears over exposed. I had a go at it and I think lowering the exposure by 0.50 looks about right. Also if you lower the highlights and increase the whites a little bit you will get more detail in the white feathers. I notice some motion blur on the foot that is scratching, try higher SS and ISO next time I am sure the 5D Mark III can handle it. This image looks like it comes from my heaven on earth... Ft. Looks a bit bright to me too but definitely not over-exposed. I think that cropping out the reflection of the bird's ankle would strengthen the image design.

A great pose. I wish for a little more SS, and perhaps a bit more detail in the whites. It does look like North Beach Lagoon.
