Anyone with experience of photographing birds on Iceland? As I understand, the birds there are less skittish than e.g. on mainland Europe. I'm asking to help decide which focal length to bring (and whether or not I need to upgrade my lens). In the Netherlands where I live there's no use in bringing anything under 500mm if you want good bird shots (unless you are shooting from a hide). I heard that the situation may be different on Iceland, and I would be sorry to bring a big heavy lens and not being able to use it.
Thanks for any help!
