Peregrine with a bit of prey

from 2 weeks ago, this is a female with a bit of prey in her talons going back to one of her fledges.

Sharp and wicked. Love the image design. And a rarely seen wing position. Where was the bird in the frame in the original?

The only thing that bugs me is the spot where the left wingtip almost merges with the vegetation on the cliff. I imagine that would be an easy fix if you agree. I am fine either way. Congrats on a superb image.

You guys are killing me with these peregrine shots! So jealous! Cool wing position eye contact and the prey really makes it. I agree with Artie that taking out that bit of vegetation would improve the image. I could see a bit more room on top but I also like the composition as is. TFS

Thanks so much Artie, the bird was slightly left of center and yes I considered to clone that and even started to but decided to get some feedback first.

A beautifully composed and exposed image Tim. At 1/2000 do you think the slight blur on at the wingtips is due to motion or DOF. Given it's shot at f8 and considering the wingspeed of these birds I'd bet on motion , but only if I was betting with free money.

Great one Tim, like the repost better. We are very fortunate that these birds have rebounded their population from a decade ago, thanks to the Santa Cruz Predatory Bird Research Facility and the Peregrine Fund.
