    Hi all,

Here's an willet in flight taken on a relatively overcast day. Shot was pretty flat so I tried to bring back some of the color but keep the cloudy mood. Not sure if people will like the OOF landing rock, but I kind of liked it. BG is water. +3 NR in LR and then sharpening in PS. Focus point landed on the head. Slight crop.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
    Specs: 1/2500 ISO 1000 f/5.6

Thanks for looking and commenting on prior posts!

The Willet is nice and sharp, well done with that! Good exposure, colours look good. I know you like it but the oof rock does nothing for me, I feel the image would be stronger with it cropped out (and a bit at top to balance the resulting comp).

Beautifully sharp and presented perfectly. I am with Dan on the rock: yuck! Me thinks the bird is a fresh juvenile.

Thanks a ton for looking and commenting, both. Here's a version with the rock cropped out and then just a bit of canvas added below. I could also go tighter if needed? Thanks again for the help. These guys are speedy!
