I had a trip to Cairngorm at the weekend, to see if I could find and photograph the Slavonian Grebe. There are only 30 known breeding pairs of these bird in the UK. To make matters worse, the weather was horrific for June. Very strong winds and rain made conditions difficult. I managed to capture this one on a windswept loch.
You did well in difficult conditions. The reddish tones on the bird might look a bit better if they were a bit lighter. Or not ...
