Here's another individual that was hanging out in the same vicinity as the one I posted earlier. It's nice to have a couple of species breed locally until the fall migration brings other shorebird species our way...

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1600s., f/5.6, ISO 400, natural light, handheld, small crop for comp, darkened the pupil, lightened the shadow on the belly. Audio used.

    Daniel:

Excellent pose (foot lift, angle in frame), soft background , color harmony with foreground and upper background. Well exposed, nice touch ups.

    Cheers

Daniel, very nice angle and the shallow DOF works well with this image.

It is a beautiful image. The lighting, pose, raised foot and background are all working together.

Really nice one, pose, BG, details, and the eye all really coming together in this image. Composition is nice too. TFS

Great raised-foot pose, gorgeous background. I would have thought that stopping down a stop or two might help, as long as it didn't compromise the BG.

As always you have positioned yourself in a nice low attitude, great BG that sets off the spots on the sandpiper. Caught the leg at the right time
