    Default American Oystercatcher in flight

After shooting these guys on the beach at Sandy Hook several days ago, we went to another spot and found this one in a marsh tide pool. I liked the different environment, with the green BG complementing the bird. I know someone will say he is almost past me. Unfortunately the three frames just prior to this didn't have as good a wing position, so this was the best of the sequence.

I like your image Bill and I don't mind the angle. Tack sharp and the water drops on the wing add. They are beautiful birds and fun to watch. I need to get my boat back from the shop so I can get out to some of the nesting islands. Hopefully next week.

Nice wing position and agree with green BG compliments the bird. I see a bit of blue in the blacks but could be just me. Composition wise I'd like for a bit more above the bird and a bit less under, TFS

Good one, Bill. I too really like the muted complimentary green BG. I'm glad you were able to capture some of the water droplets on his neck and wings. Nice sharp detail.
