Whitetail buck beginning to grow into his antlers. It will be about august until they are fully grown. Image adjustments in Lightroom. Hand held, Cropped for composition.
Hi John, nice capture, looks like the subject was quite close and comfortable with your presence which is key in Wildlife - NO STRESS!
Firstly, don't forget you can post 1000px high, this would help and allow the viewer to appreciate the image. Tech wise I would like to see more SS, especially if this is HH, the image will be better. I would rather see a bit of noise and a sharp image than a soft image, not that this is soft. but it helps the Raw. If you have it, then more below would certainly be better, it's too tight. Not being there it's hard to say, but being less 'vibrant' may look better, but it could just be the vegetation is that bright & rich. Watch your blacks, the eyes and muzzle are a bit chocked so you are loosing detail, always watch/check that Histogram in both camera and LR.
HI John -- lovely image , looks a bit tight though at the bottom of the frame , Steve's RP has certainly improved this one . But overall lovely green settings to the compliment the subject . Nicely done .
Lovely image of this young Whitetail Buck, he seems so relaxed and cooperative! Nice inquisitive pose and I like the eye contact, framing would be perfect with a tad more at the bottom of the frame. Great advice from Steve and a lovely RP, let us have some more images please if you have?
