This is some type of fungus i found growing on a super dead log. It has been pretty wet where i live recently, saw more of this growing the other day in a different spot. This is 29 images stacked together in Photoshop. Camera on tripod, triggered with remote.

Hi John,
I think this is a really cool image - love the connecting "veins" and the yellow really pops against that log. Focus stacking seems to have worked really well even though I think you can post a larger image via the guidelines to give us an even better look. Well done.

Hi John. This looks like a type of slime mold. Love the colors, patterns, and comp! The stacking seems to have worked quite well here. Very nicely done!
