    This shot was taken on a golf course in Scotland where the oystercatchers obligingly did circuits of the green.
    7D2 with 400DOii and 1.4 mkii extender hand held
    1/3200 f8 ISO2500. Processed in PS andd sharpened in LR, additional canvas added to the right.

    Mike:

    Nice dorsal view, like the trailing foot, head angle, soft background.

    I might do just a bit of clone stamp work on the right edge, at a level just above the birds head. The darker area there has a slightly sharper edge than the majority of the bg, and catches the eye. Very small thing really.

    not an easy shot, love the topside bank and the BG. sharp with good details. The frame before this would have been just perfect, he had passed you a tiny bit already but i'd take this one myself.

    Randy - I see what you mean - this may be an effect of extending the canvas and is something to look out for in the future.
