    After an early-morning foray to find a Yellow-breasted Chat that didn't materialize, I was packing up in the parking lot when I saw this bluebird singing from a nearby small tree. This was taken as I was standing next to my car; dark distant woods in the background.

    D500, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 800, 1/800s @ f/7.1 manual.

    Nice solid image.
    I like the comp (could see a version with a bit off the top) and the dark BG.
    Nice clear view of the feet and I like the little flower like moss at bottom of perch.
    Bluebird appears a bit over sharpened on my monitor.
    Very nice find from the parking lot!

    Agree with Gail that the bird on that perch against that dark background looks very nice. Also agree that it has a bit of that crunchy look to it.
