    This woodpecker nest was very close by the accommodation, it was just a matter of waiting and waiting and...

    Sweet shot -- really like the bird pose (that red cap is amazing), eye contact, and the colors and textures of the tree. Nice angle too to be able to see the hole. From a technical perspective I think I see some noise on the lower half of the bird in the blacks. I could also see a bit more taken off the top. TFS

    What a great looking WP and you have a nice pose here. While the BG is busy, the bird shows up well in the frame. I agree on taking some off of the top.
