Love it!
Works wonderfully well with the little peep through the nest cavity, shoes how someone could walk past that tree 100 times without seeing them.
Impressive details, especially given such a low shutter speed

Very nice Marina, I like this a lot, it is so different. Love the detail on the bark, and the position of the owls head in the hole. Facial expression is priceless.

Looks like your persistence and patience has paid off Marina, sweet peering face. They are such small owls and i am wondering just how small this owlet really is? Love the prominent eyebrows, did you see any others?

A great shot, Marina. Made me chuckle. Lovely detail on bird and bark.

Love this capture, Marina. Neat how the bark matches the colors in the owl.

Hello Ann: There were 2 owlets in this particular nest this year, 3 last year and 2 the year before that. They range in size from about 6-9 inches...males are smaller than females as in most raptors.

This is to cute Marina. Love the peek-a-boo pose and I too like the glistening eyes. The best part of this image for me is the cool nest cavity and the perfect comp. Well done my friend! That one might be a player!!

Hey Marina, This one put a big smile on my face. Great job with the exposure. Pointing the camera an inch more to our right might have improved it just a bit.
With love, artie

Excellent!! Although a small detail, I really love that we can faintly see the back wall of the cavity. This image had me looking at it for a while, such a fun frame.
