    Default Black Skimmer

    Hi all,

Heres a black skimmer in flight from Florida. Relatively minor edits -- some levels adjustments and added a little more canvas to the RHS and NR. Not sure why my SS was so high here, I think I just moved the wrong dial by accident.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
    Specs: 1/5000 ISO 1100 f/5.6

    Thanks for looking!
    Alex

Really like the wing position here. Just wish the bird was further back and higher in the frame.

They are fun birds to shoot, especially in flight. Looks like sharp focus, good detail and light. Like the wing position. For me the background is a bit distracting where the waterline intersects with the birds body.

Agree with the above BG, but sweet flight shot. Love the water drops on the tail, what great colors. Nice exposure and eye is bright too! TFS.

A fine flight shot, Alex. Depending on personal preference one might tweak the comp a bit, but this has great exposure and wing position, and nice light.

Thanks all, agree about the BG as well. I'll look at moving the crop a bit forward and see how that looks. Much appreciated all, Alex
