    I captured this image at Marco Island, Florida, with the Nikon D500 Handheld and AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm 1-5.6E ED VR

    Processed on LR and PS.

    I love this pose when they preen. Good for you that you were able to show the eye.
    It looks like you had a dull overcast day which worked well in your favour as you had no shadows to contend for the head under the wing.
    IQ is very good and exposure spot on.
    If you have no issues with cloning, I would remove the brownish circle in the water under the tail feathers.I would also remove the brown line on the RHS of frame.
    I could see a version with a square crop, removing stuff from the left,

    Hi Juan,
    This looks good. I would crop even more on the LHS- to the "n" in Juan and add a bit on top to make it a true square. glad you cloned out the little black blob that was on the RHS of frame. I saw it but thought I was being too nit-picky!

    Thank you Gail...Once I started, I felt like cloning that also. Here's the square repost... I added canvas on top and bottom.
