I never get tired of photographing these beauties. The light was magical on this evening in Florida.

Wow, great plumage display! great lighting, and preening position. the bright red looks a bit hot, but that is probably just my screen. Nice shot! I was hoping to get these on my FL vacation, but totally dipped, not even seeing one.

Thanks Micheal. I knew the reds would be discussed!! I did slightly reduce the saturation of the reds on this area. I did not want to go too far with it because the sunset light was really making the reds glow so I tried to stay true to the image and what I saw through the viewfinder,

Lovely image Gail. I really like the color palette. Yes, red look a little too red, but you already addressed that. I guess you decided not to apply NR to the BG. Great image. TFS.

Beautiful preening pose and love the intense tones from the warm evening light. That is an issue I very often struggle with. You wait for that perfect light to photograph in and then you often have over saturated shots that need to be dealt with in post. I tend to do what you did and tone it down just a touch. Image quality is beautiful.

Gorgeous light, that certainly enhanced the reds. Your slight desaturation did the trick, IMHO. Beautiful ballerina-like pose, wonderful fg/bg. Nicely composed in the camera.

A breathtaking image Gai--"magic time" light at it's best. It's the intensity of the midtown pinks that really strike me and I especially love the little slash of yellow that ties in with the BG.

Beautiful bird, love the pose. Nice soft light and background. The reds look good on my display. If mine I would lower the exposure by 1/3, I think the tones are deeper. Thank you for sharing, Gail.
