    Taken this winter in Vancouver.
    Canon 1 DX 1.4 x
    ISO 800 F 8.0 SS 1/2000
    Small crop to ~80% FF. Nothing added or cloned.

    Great detail there, Gail. I think I woudl have preferred a bit more DOF to get the crown of the head in focus - it looks like the background is far enough away to maintain the bokeh

    A very handsome portrait. I assume you were pretty close to him. Beautiful bg. I was also thinking a little more DOF would have helped.

    Like the other 2 said, a little more DOF could improve this, but the perfect exposure on his face makes me forget about that.

    A very pensive look to this little fellow Gail and I like the way the BG colours tie in with the head and chest feathers. I'm wondering what is that interesting little flash of pale green along the margin of the wing feathers.
