    Hi all,

Heres a Common Grackle from NJ. I've been playing with slower shutter speeds lately in order to blur the wings but still keep the face or eye relatively sharp. In post I added a bit of canvas to the LHS, cropped about 20%, NR, and sharpened. I think 1/500 worked okay here as it was very windy and just starting to rain.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 200-500mm f/5.6 at 500mm
    Specs: 1/500 ISO 800 f/5.6

    Thanks for looking!
    Alex

Thanks Artie! Glad that the blurring works here -- I actually started experimenting with the blurs from some of the images you've posted on your blog so additional thanks for the info / inspiration. Best,
