    Kill Deer on nest, this was as low as i could get. The bird was photographed from a vehicle. Image adjustments in Lightroom. Full frame, hand held.

    I like the killdeer, showing his nice delicate feathers, sharp but I feel the rocks are a bit too distracting and compere with the subject a bit too much

    That's a typical killdeer nest site in the gravel. Exposure and details look good to me and I really like how the red eye ring shows up well against the gray rocks. I do agree about the rocks being a bit heavy but more so because they're man-made. Nice capture

    Love the bird great colours and details, but sorry not a fan of the gravel chips.
