I know I have been very quiet. Can only apologise and blame the studies/work combo :)

Here is something for the theme...
These two males were fighting ferociously in the Mara Triangle last year. We only caught a couple of frames before they took it back up a hill and another very interesting story unfolded: http://bit.ly/bigcatfight

Hi Morkel - I remember this blog post. Excellent action, well captured. Love the feeling the cloud of dust adds to the image. In an ideal world the oof brush would not be in the lrc but the world is rarely ideal.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Superb action captured dear Morkel, and I am left wondering about the outcome of this rather fiersome fight - will certainly take a look at rest of the images on the website.

Indeed great timing and lots of drama with all the dust raising. Love that tail in the air! Cannot help but admire the shape and size of the two contenders, not to mention their belly index:)

Hope you find time to participate with more images, we really miss you around here.
Good luck with your studies, Boetie

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Loving the drama & action depicted here Morkel, in particular the swiping paw and claws, with all the dust that often accompanies this type of drama, you've done well with the overall quality, a scene I would have loved to document as well.

Hi Morkel good to see you posting .. at least you found time for a short study break
The image is full of power and impact , on all counts .
I bet very difficult to keep the AF on the subject , as i think they moved quite quickly . The action is great and all the dust is fitting well to the drama.
All around a very nice action shot !!!!!

    TFS Andreas
