    Hi Jon the bird as helped you with composition perching on that side of the stone which in itself is very nice, hope you don't mind but I played with levels just to give the bird a bit more body just for my interest.Detail and sharpness look excellent just wondered if it needs a little lift,just my personal take of course.

    All around very nice shot. Details look great. Background is very nice. That rock with the lichen is great as well. I could see a version with a touch more exposure added to the bird.

    Thanks for the feedback everyone. I played with this is in DPP and ACR, I too at times felt I should increase saturation. It was taken early April so the birds were not in full breeding colours. I think this image presented is pretty close to what they were at the time.
