Default Black crowned night heron's evening flight

Taken last evening at Sunken Meadow State Park. These birds are flying over the marsh to their roosts in the trees on a cliff, and never look my way. I like the colors well enough to share this with you, despite the head angle not being what one might hope for.

Thanks for looking, and for your comments.

I really like the mood of this....beautiful light. I agree with you Grace on the head angle.

Terrific light Grace! Great wing position too. I think your self-critique is spot-on. This location seems to have a lot of potential. Maybe you'll get lucky and one of them will have a look in your general direction!

Wow, tack sharp & nice wing position. Looks a tad too warm on my monitor. Should you bring down the white balance a wee bit...?

This is one of the best places to practice flight.. between the BCNH and the Egrets it is a special little watering hole.

    Light is super.

Wow, talk about a great wing position. I have never seen any bird in such a complete downstroke. Way to go.
