My favorite subjects! I watched them take turns play-attacking one another, rolling on the ground, and simply having fun.

nice playful shot Melissa, they are great characters to watch, no doubt about it.

I think you need to address the white balance again here. Maybe start with clicking on the WB pipette and looking for a neutral area - here you have a good neutral area with the bands on the legs. After that you can always make little tweaks to replicate the light as it was at the time.

Arash did a good article a while back - http://arihazeghiphotography.com/blo...n-photography/

These guys always present some fun moments and you've captured that moment very well Melissa, some good points from Mike as well.

Thanks Mike! I just recently learned how to use the little eyedropper in LR for WB but didn't know about it at the time I shot this photo (last June). I process my photos on a high end graphics laptop and I calibrate with Spyder5. Maybe it's my eyes or my desktop monitor (I'm using right now), but the photo looks just as it did through the lens. So, maybe the eyedropper will be the way to go for me as I'm not a good judge!

Very playful moment and good DOF to get three of them pretty sharp. The green in the BG looks a bit harsh to me but that may come down to white balance as Mike commented on. I could see a bit less room on the RHS and some more on the LHS. TFS

Alex, I could try bringing down the greens in the photo. It was at 6:30 a.m. when I took the photo so the sun was shining on that green area which is a cluster of bright green bushes and trees. I agree about less on the LHS. I always crop tightly on the LHS because to the left of the owls is the white plastic synthetic burrow placed there to provide habitat - not terribly attractive.

Nice interaction between the owls here, pretty nice light as well.
