Default American White Pelicans on Fire

    Hi All,

This is my one of favorite Image taken in Provo Bay, Utah.
    Story behind the Image:-
It was one of those days when I decided to go to Provo Bay to test Nikon 300mm f/4 Lens. At the end of the day I witnessed awesome sunset colors lighting the clouds. I showed the clouds to my wife and said " If we have some birds flying across the clouds, then it will be a nice shot"

All of a sudden, my wife says whats are those.
I see 4 Pelicans flying in sequence.
I was lucky to see that Pelicans Flying above those clouds and was happy to make couple of images. I like this one the most.

I like it with the birds in the dark sky and the brighter yellow below. Normally light at the top and dark at the bottom works better, but not here :) Looks like the pellies are getting the big horns on their bills. Do they breed in the area?

    with love, artie

    Hi Artie,

    Thank you for the comments.

Yes White Pelicans breed in an island called Gunnison Island which is inside the Salt Lake.

    Thanks

Wow this is a real nice image. I too like the composition and the way the pelicans are laid out. I really like the fact that you can see that individual primaries on a few of the birds. It's very artistic, colorful and a very print worthy Frame. Well done
