Well done in an extremely cluttered and difficult situation. Here is a tip that I learned from Froggie (James Shadle) yesterday: with oof stuff between you and the subject (like the foreground leaves in this image), stop down a ton if you can. You could most likely stopped the motion at 1/200 sec. at f/16 or for sure at 1/400 sec. at f/11. That would have sharpened up those leaves.

I like all that's going on in the nest....plenty of action......two youngsters squabbling and mom trying to live with it. You certainly get a nice feel for "growing up heron"!!! This is really a nice sharp image with good detail. Artie always has a great tip......and this one is great.
