Love, love, love the low perspective. A bit less head turn toward us would have made an already strong image a bit better. Again the light in one of your images confuses me a bit. There seems to be the faint shadow of the bird behind the subject that would indicate that the soft light was from our left, but the breast seems to be a bit shaded; that would indicate that the light was from our right. Any clues?

Great POV, IQ and clean FG and BG.
I really like the little toenail peeking out from the belly.
    Classic image! Well done,
    Gail

A really nice image Juan, perfect low level, and the raised foot is a nice touch. Glad you go the full foot in this one.

Again, really love the low perspective here. Didn't even notice the toenail until Gail pointed it out -- a very nice addition. Clean background and nice colors on the bird. At those techs perhaps stopping down for f/8 or so could help as you had the ISO, but everything looks great here so not a real nit. TFS

Thank you for viewing and commenting Artie. It was overcast when I took the picture, but just to make sure I revisited the original RAW file and basically there's a very soft almost un-noticeable shadow. Looks like the darker lines are just the part of the image that was in focus and that changed a little after I applied noise reduction. The sun was behind the clouds to our left, so you are right when you noticed less light on the bird's chest. Cheers!

Very nice low angle, I love the fluffed up feathers. I saw tons of these last week, and didn't spend much time on them at all, wish I would have now. nice shot
