Hi Debbie and welcome to BPN. I hope that you do decide to join us full time :) The exposure is a good one, you did a nice job with the whites, and the bird's face is plenty sharp. If you have more room all around you might consider a wider crop to give the bird more room to breathe.

Good first post.
I would clone out the bit of vegetation sticking out from the middle of the LHS of the frame.
Black and white birds are a nightmare to expose properly and you have done well.
Head , feet and breast are nice and sharp. I wish the tail wasn't so far out of the DOF. If only the bird had been a bit more parallel to the sensor.
The image is too tight for my taste and I would loosen the crop.
