from crandon park on saturday afternoon. i tried to do this one with a double exposure, but failed miserably!!! so i worked it with CNX and only desaturated the reds and added a little guassian blur for effect.

    hope you like it.

D300, bigma at 500mm (love how the telefoto totally blurred the bg), f/8 for a little extra dof, 1/250s, ISO 400, +0.7EV

comments and critiques are greatly appreciated

I like it very much Harold, I like the details and the soft colors...I would try doing a vertical on this one...:D

tried the vertical and didnt think it had the impact of this one. i think it was that i didnt have enough stem. this is pretty much full frame. only slight crop from the top and left, and i mean just a slither.

The colors are wonderful, so rich and yet translucent. It reminds me of a carousel.

Awesome harold - love the colours and BG.

For my taste seems to need a bit more canvas at the bottom.

    :) :) :)

I like it a lot Harold !!! Way to isolate that flower !!! Why don't you try tilting it? Might look neat !!!

Lovely, Son, I'd go back in the saturation a little more, or better yet, try cooling the temperature at conversion, not much, just a little.

Guys, there was only one little patch of grass that gave a clean BG and I don't think we could have gotten a clean BG going vertical, if I remember correctly.

Harold, simply gorgeous. If I have to say something, for me it looks like the flower is looking at the left side of the picture, so placing the flower at the right of the frame may looked a tad better.:)
