I had expected our White-throated Sparrows to have headed north by now, but we still have 4 or 5 hanging around our feeders. Their plumage ranges from a bit dull to full-prime breeding plumage. This image was taken three weeks ago, and is the most handsome of the group. I tried a version with a different crop, taking some off the right, but I think I like this one better. I can share the alternate crop if anyone so wishes.

Hi Bill, great looking perch and BG. Very clean and simple -- really like it. Details and pose look nice as well. I could see toning down the HLs on the right side of the branch as it looks a tad 'harsh' now. I like the crop here but interested in the other one as well. TFS

Nice bird, nice perch, & good exposure. The background is nice as well.

I like everything about this except I wish the tail was not intersecting with the flower. But what pretty flowers!
Too bad the bird was not a bit more parallel to you.
    IQ, comp, BG all good,
    Gail

Lovely perch here, and I like the comp that you chose. These guys have one of my favorite forest songs of the summer months!
