    Default Gannet

    Attached Images Attached Images

Shot on a very 'bright' day and a ridiculous 20mph wind off the coast, buffeting both kit and photographer!!!! Certainly Canons improvements in the MKII have been far better, but it was interesting in harsh condition like these, to see if some of the changes really did work - and they did, plus it made a change to shoot is reasonably low ISO settings.

This is wonderful, Steve. Love the simple composition and how the colors all work together. Perfect detail and exposure on the bird. Thank you for sharing.

Looking good Steve. Love the pose and details on the bird. The eye looks awesome. I also like the veg in the FG with the shade of purple showing. My only wish would be for the purplish shade not to be so close to the bill on the bird. ISO 640. Never seen that before on one of your images

    Very nice.

Agree Will, and I could take it out, but left it in.

ISO 640. Never seen that before on one of your images
Had me puzzled too Will, not sure if it will be the same in a few weeks time, will have to see.

Thanks Gabriela, could be better, but access is fenced off now compared to previous times as it's a bit of a drop - 300ft.

Great frame Steve -- love the eye and the multiple shades of blue in the frame. Whites are handled well and the purple and green flowers / grass make a lovely addition to the shot. Like to DOF too. TFS

I like the head popping out of the colorful OOF vegetation...kind of artistic feel. Nice one.
