This delicate lady lives alongside her Firecracker friends in one of the gardens in Pine Crest Gardens. She was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 D macro lens.

i like the way the crease of the flower flows diagonally through the frame. i also like the pinks that anchor the two corners!! very nice. one thing that bothers me a little is the placement of the seed pod very near the center of the frame. wished it was somewhere placed in the ROT.
So beautiful with soft colors and then the dramatic seed pod really adds to the image. Thought about a different crop but don't know quite how to change it.
I think the seed pod is right where it needs to be in this instance. It is a vertical compo, much more forgiving for centered placing, and there are important elements in both corners that would disappear or be a lot bigger that they are now. For me it's well balanced.
