I'm back from the land of the Burrowing Owls. A wonderful time spending a couple early mornings and evenings photographing these little treasures. This Burrowing Owl appears to be scowling at me, not sure if it was inquisitiveness or dislike of my presence. For those not familiar with these owls, they are small, about the size of a Robin when fully grown. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Really nice pose and detail Joe, I love these owls, one moment they give you this type of look like they are really mad and the next second they just look away like they don't care. I see a little bit of noise on the background. Easy fix. Thank you for sharing
They are rather territorial, especially now that they have young to watch over, so they might get a little grumpy if you get too close! I was Just in Cape coral, and saw over 40 owls, one burrow had 7 youngsters hopping around it! Nice close up profile with good detail in the feathers and good background ~MT
Nice pose -- agree theres a bit of noise in the background. I very much want to go to cape coral for these guys. I wonder if the image needs a very slightly CCW rotation to have the eyes be level? Could be just me though. TFS
