    Default Sidelight - Laughing Gull

    Hi All,

    I was going through some of the images taken last year when I had no idea about sun angle.

    I kind of liked the side lighting on this image as well. If I get a chance with the same situation, I will prefer front lighting.


    Nikon D7100
    Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3
    ISO 320, f5, 1/1000 sec
    Manual Mode, Spot Metering

    Hi Krishna, I like the angelic pose of the Gull with the raised wings and fanned tail. As you mentioned and it is clear that the light was coming from your RHS. Have you tried lightening the shadows on the Gull, as that could balance the 'light' on the Gull.

    Thank you for the comments. I did not try to lighten the shadows as I liked the side lighting effect. I will try that out.
