    Default St Mac's fly (Bibio marci)

    Fill in flash
    All C&C welcome.

    These flies appear in huge numbers around St Marc's day 25 March though this was taken 21 March. By the 25 my macro lens had died - needs new USM and diaphragm! Hopefully I will get it back in time to get some shots of orange tip butterflies.

    Nice light on the bug really like the diagonal blade of grass it is on.

    Hi Jonathan,
    I like the contrast of the black fly on the greens - stands out very well. Nice details and diagonals in the image. well done.

    Very good sharpness within your DOF, nice use of the fill flash, and I like the diagonals of the comp! Very well done!
