Following the theme of yawning lions, I though I would throw this one into the mix.

Hi Steve - I didn't know one yawning lion made a theme, though May's theme is Predators. Light looks like it was a bit strong but well handled. I like the slightly cocked head and that we can see the taste buds on the tongue. A little more head on and you probably could have seen what it had for dinner last night. Nice choice on the dof.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Steve looks like F11 worked from the tip of it's nose to the back of the throat ,great that you can see the detail of the inside of the mouth, like Rachel says the light looks strong but you have got the better of it.Great catch.

Hi Steve , technically nothing to complain about . Everything seem to be on the perfect side .
Always a sucker of fine detail.....and here is a lot to find in this frame . Love all the the whispy fur !!!

Great details and lovely colours. Just showing my ignorance now but when I looked I instantly thought this would have been a young male lion becasue of the longer fur.

HI Steve -- Pretty routine stuff for the cats, hence that element of wow goes away and in this quite a common scene, but you have got a high IQ image yet again with all those fine details . superbly done .

    TFS !

Hi Steve, as everyone has said so far, really great IQ. I would bet the focus point landed on the eye? Great DOF and the range of tones here is very nice. Definitely a relatable image on a Friday at work . Tongue out is fun -- does the poor guy have a bit missing from the tip though? Must be very fun to watch these big guys act like house cats. TFS

    Dearest Steve,

You are the Master of Detail to me and this image proves it once again

Lovely vibrant colours and tonality, sharpness is great, perfect framing. I would place the FP at the base of the nose, F11 would cover the sticking out slightly chipped tongue as well?

Hope you have a great evening, and thank you so much for sharing

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
