Hi folks got the chance to photograph this scene without stressing the animals , just by luck .
As i was based in one spot to take all sorts of images from other individuals , then the mother with the youngster came closer and closer .So i stayed and waited , luckily they moved themselves in the right position for me .
Thank you my seal friends ...... for your help to create such image.

Grey Seal ; Helgoland ; Germany

    Canon EOS 1Dx MK2
    EF 500 IS L with 1,4 TC
    Tripod

    F 8 ; Iso 6400 ; 1/800 sec ; man exp + 1EV ( sometimes i kept the SS lower to get a lower Iso )

Processed with DPP 4.6 and PS CC 2017 ; slight crop from top and RHS for composition .

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous posting .

    Cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas - This works quite well. The content and comp are great. I like the juxtaposition of the soft fur of the pup against the coarse sand covering the mom. Dof works and very nice detail against the muted tones of the sea in the bg. Nice one.

Hi Andreas, nice behavioural aspect, but again, just too close to the foot for me. You could have pulled back or not engaged the TC and cropped.

Sweet as milk, Andreas! I would have cropped very tight if this was mine. Lovely colours and detail.

The look on this pup's face...
