Not having Hummingbirds in Australia, I was happy to get the next best thing here. One of the Bottlebrush trees in the garden bloomed for around 10 days and the honeyeaters suddenly appeared for the banquet. Trouble was it rained and was overcast for nearly the whole time. This was the best of the weather and images I could manage, thanks.

Very hummingbird-like indeed! I love the image. IQ, comp, colours. All looks good to me.

Great pose you have here and man is that flower pretty. Nothing poor about this!

On a totally separate note, I love Australia. Keep trying to push my wife to move there as her job has an office in Sydney.

Wonderful capture, Matthew. Interesting the size and look of a hummingbird.

Thanks Isaac - Well I might see you over here then keep trying, Sydney is surrounded by national parks and well placed to access literally hundreds of species of bush, water and pelagic birds - oops what have I done

Hi Matthew, lovely image. The bird very much mimics a hummingbird. The Bottle Brush bush/tree that attracted the bird is a tree I have outside my kitchen window here in Florida. Love the blossoms. Thank you for sharing.
