Nesting Canada Goose

Maybe my favorite Canada Goose shot? My #1 goal when photographing wildlife is to enforce to the viewer that the creature photographed is very much alive and not just a "dumb animal." I think this is a good example of that. As she rested on her eggs, she was sure to keep a protective eye on me as I passed.

I like your perspective, choice of B&W, the great reflection in the eye. Nice detail on the head.

It is a more engaging image when presented as such a tight crop.

I am afraid the Canada geese don't always garner much feedback, a victim of their being so common.

Always fun to make something special.

Thanks Randy! Unfortunately they can't all be Mandarin Ducks and Bald Eagles stealing food from Tri-Colored Herons haha. I'm trying my best with what I have. Common wildlife makes great practice for the more rare stuff.
