Hello, thank you for allowing me to join this group! This is my first post, so I hope I'm doing everything right. This photo was taken just after sunrise at a wonderful burrow in Southern California. The Owl family was very affectionate, something I wanted to capture in my photo. I welcome any critiques! EXIF info is:
Canon 1DX
100-400 lens
ISO 500
SS 1/2500
f/5.6
Taken at 400mm
Hi Melissa welcome to the forum. Nice image a little on the warm side, would like to see more at the bottom and not so much room on the right, maybe a 2X3 crop ratio.
Looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks! No, I was literally on my stomach taking the photo so the ground level was what it is in the photo. You were so right about too much warmth - I like the corrected one so much better!
That's a powerfully sweet photograph. Congratulations on your POV and the warm storytelling. I agree with Tim about the crop. I would want to end up with the birds larger in the frame, but that's a personal like. I'm very glad to see your work.
