These two hyenas were jostling each other and head butting to get to "The Spot" in the road. Taken at 6.30a.m - there had been heavy mist and the sun just broke through. Canon 40D 154mm f6.3 1/80sec.

Hi Jeni Great interaction Love seeing the symmetrical poses

Got caught in a difficult situation with the sun directly on one and the other in shade. The left seems to be a bit over exposed. Would try blending layers to bring back detail or better doing two conversions from RAW (linear/regular) One other to consider is the aperture... not sure I would be stopping down in this situation if the animals make a move the will be blurred !!! Got a keeper !!!

    Hi Jeni,
Agree with Alfred about the light...........but I do like the interaction. The road is not my favorite setting.......but hyenas are one of my favorites. Hope Alfreds fix lightens up the shadows a bit.........worth a try.

Nice shot, is the composition straight? Possibly turn the image 1 or 2 degrees anticlockwise?
Just a personal thing I find the frame a little overpowering.
